Broncos Twitter Gets Ballistic On Fumble, Loss To Raiders

It was …

a debacle.

Losing to the Raiders sucks.

Losing to a winless Raiders team with Josh McDaniels as head coach is like a thousand cuts to the eye…

Really horribly painful.

And yet, the Broncos seem to relish the self-inflicted pain, as most of those losses seem to be due to big mistakes rather than better opponents.

After having the chance to stay tied for first place in the AFC West, improve on one of the NFL’s current best records and, most importantly, build on an emotional comeback win last week, the Broncos instead opted to regress to the middle – stagnant offense and an overwhelmed defense.

As you can imagine, Broncos Twitter was apocalyptic.

No one in Broncos Country likes losing to the Raiders.

And so the blame began…mostly roasting Melvin Gordon for spitting the ball out when tied 10-10 and the offense needed to change momentum.

Unfortunately, the “scoop and score” that followed the fumble gave the Raiders a quick TD and all the momentum.

The Broncos defense was also a prime target after once again let running back Josh Jacobs run over, through, around, in front.

Probably even above and certainly again and again and again.

Jacobs ran relentlessly for 144 yards on 28 carries and two touchdowns as the Broncos defense had just run out of gas.

But Broncos Twitter didn’t have much love for the offense either — even outside of fumbling.

Although Russell Wilson’s day was statistically decent — going 17 of 25 for 237 yards and two touchdowns — he failed to pull the offense out of trouble enough times.

“Every color in the rainbow of discomfort for the Broncos offense”…lol, Mase.

Leave it to Brandon Perna to at least find the silver lining.
