Week two of the 2022 college football season this weekend features massive non-conference games, key conference games, and enough power to keep you engaged from noon to midnight. In today’s showdown, the Alabama No. 1 will travel to Texas to face the Longhorns in the first meeting between the two lore-rich programs since Crimson Tide toppled the Longhorns in the championship game. 2010 BCS after the 2019 season.

#1 Alabama Texas – Noon on Fox, fuboTV (Try for Free): Heisman Trophy campaigns for Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and EDGE Will Anderson Jr. will hit Austin, where former Alabama assistant coach Steve Sarkisian will seek to antagonize his mentor in this reunion of traditional powers . Longhorns starting quarterback Quinn Ewers will be making his second career start, and it will be interesting to see how he handles the face of Anderson and the Crimson Tide defense.
#24 Tennessee at #17 Pittsburgh — 3:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (Try for free): This battle of ranked enemies will feature two teams rising high after Week 1 wins. Tennessee’s fast offense, led by quarterback Hendon Hooker and wide receiver Cedric Tillman, hopes to make it a shootout, while the Panthers defense deep down the line will try to disrupt that tempo and Hooker’s timing in a rematch of a wild game last year in Knoxville.
Appalachian State at No. 6 Texas A&M – 3:30 p.m. on ESPN2, fuboTV (Try for free): It wouldn’t have been a big game until last week, when the Mountaineers scored 40 points in the fourth quarter against North Carolina … and still lost. Quarterback Chase Brice is legit, and it will be interesting to see how Aggies quarterback Haynes King fares if this becomes a shootout.
No. 20 Kentucky at No. 12 Florida — 7 p.m. on ESPN, fuboTV (Try for free): The Gators made waves in the college football world after upsetting No. 13 Utah last week in The Swamp, and dynamic dual-threat quarterback Anthony Richardson hopes to keep that momentum going against a Wildcats defense. which is usually as fundamentally sound as they come. Could this be Wildcats quarterback Will Levis’ coming out party? It should be a fun prime-time affair for two SEC East teams hoping to become a legitimate threat to Georgia.
No. 10 USC at Stanford — 7:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (Try for free): The Caleb Williams and Lincoln Riley Show will travel to The Farm to take on a team from Stanford, led by coach David Shaw who is known for winning the battle in the trenches. The Trojans offensive line is a bit shaky, so I’ll be curious to see how Williams handles things if the Cardinal manages to get him out of position and run away.
No. 9 Baylor at No. 21 BYU — 10:15 a.m. on ESPN, fuboTV (Try for free): It might not seem like a big game at first glance, but make no mistake, both of these teams have legitimate college football playoff hopes. Both need signature wins to impress the committee, and both of these teams are good enough to finish in the top 20 of the final standings. They will play it in a location known for its wild finishes. This might be one of those games that ultimately is one of the most significant games in the CFP race.
