Examples of flights

BORDER COMPANIES

Frontier only offers $19 tickets on select routes and dates. To find a summary of available itineraries on the Frontier website, search for sample itineraries in the city of your choice or click on Frontier’s “Offers” menu tab and enter $19 in the “Budget” box . If your city appears on the menu, click the “Book Now” button to get one of these deeply discounted tickets.

The promotion states that you must be a member of the Discount Den membership program to use the $19 rates. However, TPG found several routes offering $19 fares for the general public.

Before you book, be aware of potentially large surcharges for seat assignments and baggage, even for carry-on baggage. You will need to click through the booking process before the supplements are revealed for the flight. Prices can be $60 for single carry-on and $50 for seat assignments.

Phoenix and Denver to Las Vegas

BORDER COMPANIES

Looking for a super cheap Vegas getaway? The screenshot above shows several October dates when Frontier offers $19 fares to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

In this case, the rate is available to both the general public and Discount Den members, so there is no need to register for the program. Return flights are available for the following Tuesday at multiple times throughout the day, so you can use this fare for a week-long Vegas getaway.

BORDER COMPANIES

Likewise, you can find $19 flights in mid-October between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Las Vegas, with no obligation to join the Discount Den club. The $19 flights tend to be early morning or late evening, but if you act quickly, attractive flight times are still available for some routes.

Chicago to Los Angeles

BORDER COMPANIES

One of the best values in the Frontier sale is the $19 flight from Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) to Ontario International Airport (ONT) outside of Los Angeles. The $19 fare is only available to Discount Den members, but the public fare of $29 is still a bargain for flying nonstop across the country. Even though it’s not the main airports of Chicago and Los Angeles, the extra drive can be worth saving time to potentially save hundreds of dollars on a flight.

Dates available on this route for $19 fares are more limited than in other cities, with only one date appearing in early October. But if you can find a few dates and times that work for you, it’s an inexpensive chance to escape Chicago’s fall chill for some LA sunshine.

Maximize your purchase

If you book this offer, remember to use a credit card that earns bonus points on airline ticket purchases, such as The Platinum Card® from American Express (5 points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, up to $500,000 on such purchases per calendar year). Or try it Citi Premier® Card Where Reserve Chase Sapphire (both 3 points per dollar on airfare). You can also use the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2 points per dollar on travel). At the end of the line

You can’t beat Frontier’s $19 ticket sale for cheap tickets. This one-day special is worth your time to research value-priced fall getaways.

But keep in mind that these fares come with a lot of terms and conditions. You must be a paying member of Frontier’s Discount Den Membership Program, you must fly on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday, and you will incur (sometimes substantial) surcharges for seating and baggage.

Even if you’re not a member of Frontier’s membership program, non-member one-way fares of $29 to $39 are great deals – and some $19 fares are also available to the general public.

So if you can find Frontier flights that fit your schedule and can do without luggage, you should grab a few of these flights for ultra-cheap fall trips.
